[VALIDATION]

ANSI/ASHRAE 140 2004 validation results for DesignBuilder are now available.
The tests compare results for a range of different simulation programs used to model variations on a simple test cell.
DesignBuilder output agrees with the equivalent results for the EnergyPlus simulation engine, adding to confidence in the accuracy of DesignBuilder/EnergyPlus output.

◆ Many minor improvements and bug fixes.

[CFD DEVELOPMENT]

DesignBuilder CFD is used to predict airflow and temperature distribution in and around buildings. It uses the same methods as the general purpose pure CFD packages, but at a fraction of the cost and without the need for any specialist knowledge.

Our new easy-to-use 3D CFD module will be released in beta test form early 2007. A full implementation, including links to EnergyPlus will be available later in 2007.
